The My Marianas Writing Contest promotes awareness of the diverse experiences and perspectives within the Northern Marianas Islands through published personal narrative essays authored by high school students on themes that examine various aspects of students’ connections to family, culture, and the environment. The top 3 winners receive a cash prize of up to $500, and become published writers with their work featured in the Marianas Variety, an e-book, and a print booklet distributed to participating schools.
